Rather than trying to work out how many pellets your Oscar eat in one meal,feed your Oscars as much as they can eat in a two to three minute period. If they start spitting it out before that time period is up, ceased feeding straight away. When I feed my Oscars pellets, this is how I do it, my Oscars get more than enough food and they are growing extremely well so I know I am doing it correctly.
It always makes me laugh when I read threats about people saying feet your Oscar four pellets, three times a day. That's all very well, but what if you've got a 16 inch Oscar, believe me, he'll want more than that so doing it by time, rather than how many is far better and it does mean your Oscar will get the correct amount of food however bleak years.
