I read the article on this site about fish toys and I will have to agree that they don't need toys because fish do not know how to appreciate something like a toy. However, I am writing this thread as a suggestion for fishkeepers who like to "please" their fish ( as do I). I have found that a good way to please them is to give them feeders every once in a while, you will also enjoy watching them hunt, almost as well as they will enjoy hunting. That's a good way to get your cichlid to "enjoy" themselves. They will even play with the feeders when they're full and just nip them for the heck of it.

Just be careful when you feed you Oscar live fish that have been purchased straight from the fish store. Whereas I don't believe it to be a common problem, there is always that off chance that you may buy a fish that is diseased. You certainly don't want to be feeding your Oscar these type of live fish. People often breed live fish for the Oscars, personally I think that's a lot of hard work when there are much better foods out there. As a treat, it be much easier to get one from a fish store. I would just advise everyone to quarantine any live for at least a week. if it is ill or diseased, you should notice within that time period
I may not always be right, but I am always the boss

feeder fish dont have all the nutritision your oscars need so i dont see any need to use them, dry food, worms, maggots, mealworm, frozen mixed sea food works well for me. I tried beefheart but they dont like it. I dont think I need to risk feeder fish giving my O's any unwanted problems but if it works for you then fine. They love fresh water shrimp but again you have a risk so I dont use it anymore.
