So I have 2 baby Oscars. One Tiger (2 1/2 inches) and one Red (3 inches).

I cannot get them to eat pellet food. And I know they are hungry cuz they go up and check the food out right away but they don't eat it. I fed them some small feeder fish (which they loved) after about 5-6 days of this becuase I was starting to get worried.

I know they like live fish and I am going to try feeding them some frozen brine shrimp that I bought today.

My question is, if I cannot feed them pellet food, what would be a good, healthy diet for them made from live or frozen food?
Most diets I have read about say to mostly feed them pellets and supplement with live or frozen food once or twice a week. So, is it ok to feed them only on live and frozen food? And what would be ok to feed them every day, 3 times a day?

Three times a day is fine for baby Oscars. Brine shrimp, Krill are a very good supplement to your Oscars at the moment so if they will eat the pellets you have got, don't worry too much. When you are feeding, try a couple of pilots every now and then, trying get them used to seeing them. Don't stop feeding them like we might do with a much larger oscar for a few days,, make sure they get enough food just at the moment so they start growing properly, and at some stage, I'm sure we can get them on to pellets

Ok, thanks for the tips! I just got done feeding them some brine shrimp and they loved it. They didn't even hide until I moved away (which they usually do, they are still pretty shy)!

Although, now I need to go out and make myself a gravel vac to suck up all those extra pieces that I didn't even think about that sunk to the bottom. haha
