Hi every one,
I have read lots about Oscars before I got my own. I was impressed in my readings that you can teach Oscars to eat from your hand.
I only got Rex (my Oscar) 3 days ago, he/she (I call him a he) he is about 2" long.

In just 3 days he comes up to the tank wherever I happen to be, and if I hold a pellet in my fingers he will take it out of them - it is sooooo cute. I was doing some gardening yesterday and found some worms, I rinsed one and held it in the tank, he was straight there (barged through the Clown Loaches and Silver Dollars).

I am seriously falling in love with this fish already .

anyway, just thought I would share this with you.

cheers
L

Oscars certainly love their food, I've never known fish to eat like these guys. It certainly is nice when they are relaxed enough to actually take food from your hand. Just a little bit careful when your oscar gets a lot bigger, they can actually draw blood if they do happen to catch your finger.

Really glad to hear you are enjoying your little friend:)
