i have a 4 to 5 inch red oscar with my 3to 4 inch albino tiger they are newly introduced to each other by a few days but recently they chase each other aroud the tank and nip at each other and lock jaws like there wrestling theres no apparent injuries tho is this bad must i give one up what should i do

as there is no real damage i would wait it out. this type of fighting is common and can ease off in time. just keep an eye on them.

what you describe could be a dominance thing. they might just be trying to sort out who is the top river dog in the tank. as long as no serious harm is being done i would just monitor the situation and go from there.

there are some interesting catfish that dont grow to big that you might consider. if i wasnt overstocked i would consider one of these myself.

those catfish are similar to plecs. I thought pangasius is classified as catfish too?

My pangasius are 19 & 17.5 inches respectively.

pangasius are catfish native to thailand and can grow in excess of three feet in lengh. the list i provided is a short list of amazonian catfish.

wow! thanks for the info. In our locality, nobody called those catfish as pangasius. It is locally known as hammer head shark, I don't know why it was called like that... maybe just a resemblance to a shark... & hammerhead because they usually break aquarium glass using their head.

Those amozonian catfish (plecs) are now a menace in our local fresh water(lake & marsland) Some irresponsible petlovers might had release the specie in our water system.
