I still have the little one-eyed red tiger that I wrote to you all about a few months ago. He has been acting rather strange lately, so I'd like to know if anyone knows what he is doing and why. He just kind of levitates in the front right corner of the tank - just hanging out there - he does nothing but stare at the top corner of the tank right up at the surface of the water. Most of the time, he hardly moves at all. He might every great once in a while when I drop a piece of food in the water but he doesn't always move then. He just hangs out there most of the time, staring at the surface. I had another small Red Oscar in the tank with him for a while but every time I put it in there with him, he would continually attack it almost immediately. So he is in the tank by himself now. I just need to know what is wrong with him (other than the fact he has only one eye) I've noticed some of the bigger Oscars doing the same thing before but they moved around way more than this one does. If anyone has any idea why he's doing this and whether its normal or not, I'd appreciate hearing back from anyone. I just haven't got a clue what I should do for him now. Other than the eye missing, he seems to be in fairly good health, besides doing what I described earlier. If anyone has any idea why this is happening all of a sudden, I would really love to hear more about it.
Hi My name is Kaye. I live in Leavenworth, Kansas, USA. I have had several Oscars in the last 5 years. Right now, I only own 7: 4 Tigers and 3 Red Oscars. I just want to learn how to take better care of all (quote) my guys (unquote).

check your water conditions. Ammonia, nitrites, nitrates and pH. Is the fish breathing heavily at all? Pay close attention to your ammonia and pH
