Thanks to everyone who helped with my water peramiters, I got the water under controll now and my fish is better. However...He is still VERY VERY timid...everything scares him and he wants to hang out in the top corner or the tank whenever anything happens. He is in the tank with a Bumble Bee Cichlid who he is afraid of. Will he ever "lighten up" or is there something I can do? When he sees me he will swim up to the front because he wants food. I just want him to swim around the tank and not just stay in 1 spot.

Don't worry. This is usual behavior. If your Oscar looks healthy and eats -even if only when you are out of sight, then you shouldn't worry. (One of my Tiger Oscar took his time (2-3 weeks) to feel comfortable in my presence. Today both of them eat from my fingers and actively interact with me.

some oscar take longer than other to get accustomed totheir owners. i wouldnt worry about it to much as long as hes eating he will probably alright. jsut keep an eye on things and make sure he is eating well.
Warning..I will offend you at some point!!!

fishes usually find their comfort zone specially
when you have waterjet in the system. how long have
you been operating your tank?

try to check if the place where your oscar stay has
less turbulence. perhaps that would explain why.
