My oscars are picking up rocks and spitting them out at the glass of the tank and making huge holes in the rocks i dont understand why!! They also dig up all the plants and turn over all the ships etc in my tank! does anyone know what to do to get them to stop? I got theese fish from my father who passed away so maybe they are acting out? It has been 4 months now and it just seams to be getting worse help me please

Unfortunately, I don't think there is anything you can do. Digging is what Oscars do. At least once a week I find something that wasn't where it was the night before. I know many people don't keep too much in their Oscar tanks just for this reason. I've just gotten used to it and think its fun to watch them pick up the rocks and spit them out! Good luck.

welcome to the world of keeping oscars. thats just the sort of things they do, sometimes they will even brake heaters and pull up air hose.)))

as a precaution, if you don't have enough
substrate at the bottom, it will break your
glass flooring when oscar lift big rock and let
it fall down. it happens to me twice already.
so make sure you have a cushion at the bottom.
