hey im going away for 4 days and just woundering if i couldent find someone to feed my O's would they starve? ive heard they can go sometime without food. thanks heaps!

oscar can go without foods for a day or week.
just feed them before leaving, not to much because
left over food invites troubles.

make sure that filtering system will run contnuously,
otherwise, water problem will spike in 4 days and can
stress your fish.

get an auto feeder they are usually run by an air pump and the one i got will feed for 8 days they are only about a tenner but your o,s wont starve in 4 days

a fully mature healthy oscar can go quite a long time without food before any adverse effects begin to show. if you are only going away for four days of course it would be better if you could find someone to feed your o's but if you cant theyshould be fine until your return.

for a 4 day trip I wouldnt worry at all. make sure your waters fine is your main concern and dont do any cleaning of the filter before your trip. Its too risky for something to go wrong when you are not there. as said oscars can last a very long time if kept well.

yeah thanks heaps i think they should be fine they are healthy and happy. i might just do a water change before i go.

water change will do without cleaning the filtering system.
