when i was still a boy, we used to transport live grouper,
prawns, and shrimp. grouper was placed in a big plastic bag,
half filled with water (tank water) inflated with oxygen. the
set up keep the grouper alive for two days without to much damage.
the prawns & shrimp were treated separately. wet rags with dripping
water above the crates keep the items alive for 3 days.
i am not sure about oscar. but my wild ideas goes like this:
1) arranged with your local fish shop the temporary housing
of your oscars, and for airfreight shipment in two weeks;
2) bring the tank and gadgets while moving in to new place;
3) arrange and set up the tanks at the new location;
4) arrange shipment of the fishes when ready. less travel time
less strees for your fish. by then, new tank location is ready.
just my 2 cents ideas.
