hey all ive had my O's since they were about 2" long now the large one is about 7.5". its the first aquarium i have ever had so im still very new to it all i was just woundering from your knowledge if they look healthy. i am a bit worried about the colour they are never a really rich red is it just them or is there something about my water lvl that are not right? i doo weekly water changes and gravel vacs, the fish always seem relaxed and graceful. any info would help just doing a bit of a cheack up thanks!.

You got 2 very good looking O's there, Im no professional on O's so i cant tell you much about ilness, but they look healthy to me.
2 Tiger Oscars, 1 Lutino Oscar, 1 Jack Dempsey, 3 Clown Loaches, 1 Blue Phantom Pleco.

They look pretty healthy to me. As for the colouration, I shouldn't worry too much about that. Just because they are called red Oscars, doesn't necessarily mean they're going to be a vibrant red, the majority of them aren't. In fact, some of them don't display much a red all.

i think they look healthy. as long as they eat properly there's not much to worry about.

yes they look very healthy, oscers tent to lose there color when they get bigger but u can buy color falkes if u want them to be more red

My Oscar have the same colour! He's healthy.

There's no redness in his colour.. He's more golden and brown...

from experience none of my oscars lost any colour. the only changes was in the pattern of my tigers and my red oscar acquired more red in him as he aged.
