welcome to this site!

if your reading is correct, any presence of ammonia
make your fish under stress. she/he is telling you
"change my water please, i am in distress". your water
should have no ammonia.

kindly make water change asap, say 50% to arrest the
forthcoming problem.

Hi Chey,

I'm new here too. Welcome.

I noticed with my Oscar if I got a heat wave, not uncommon for Australia and the tank temp spiked fairly quickly this would may Roy, my O fairly aggressive and demanding for more food.

Keep an eye on your temp too and maybe your O is like my Roy when it comes to water temp.

Happy New Year

DadMac

okey then, i thought 7.2 ph and ammonia 80?
if that is so.... pehaps, your oscar is just
hungry as DadMac had said.

hes begging for food it seems(this doesnt necessarily mean hes underfed), thats all. when i come into the room, my ocars swarm to the top of the water. oscars also like to "play" with things, he might see his reflection. my oscars likes to attack the heater, but it makes him happy. oscars are very social and display some odd behavior sometimes, but as long as they are healthy, youve got nothing to worry about.
