Hi in my previous moving thread i asked the method of moving my oscar.
Now stupid Q. How the hell do i catch a adult tempermental oscar???

if you use a large net and with a little patience, catching the Oscar shouldn't be too difficult. However, they often become spooked very quickly. So you're best off trying to catch them for a couple of minutes and then having a five-minute break. The longer you chase them around, the harder it will be to catch them. I am afraid there is not an easy answer. If you're not used to doing it, you may find it hard. You might be better off with a couple of large nets.it's often easier to use one of the net's to heardthe Oscar into the other one

one easy way to move a grown up oscar is to lower first
the level of water in the tank. slowly lay a clean towel
or t-shirt under and then once the oscar is on top of it,
slowly pull both end of the towel. oscar will splash a little
but it is already inside the towel.
