I recently got the FX5 up and running, and filled with the media recommended by members on this site. (thanks!)
But after I moved our O from one 55 gal tank to the newer one, he just hasn't "been himself". He just sits in the corner by the intake tube and mopes. I know that being sulky is one of the personality traits of Oscars, but this guy is taking it to the extreme. He hardly ever swims more than six inches in any direction, and spends a lot of time on his side at the bottom. He didn't suffer any physical problems with the move. But his personality has gone! Now, he's just a fish!
The looks of the newer tank are different from the previous one; different gravel color and size, different air stone placement, etc. I know they don't like change, and my question is -- how long, on average, will he continue to be this way? I guess the length of time varies from O to O, but does anyone have any experience with this situation? How long did it take for your Oscar to become accustomed to his new home?
Thanks!

Yes, it has been cycled. Used time(3 weeks) and Cycle. Water tests perfect. Zero Ammonia, Zero Nitrites. Ph 7.5 (low?) Water tested every 3 or 4 days. Temp at 76. Also using Emperor 400. No water changes yet.

i believe your oscar is experiencing new tank syndrome.
he/she is trying to aclimatize itself to the new environment,
give hem/her a little more time, eventually, he/she will swim and
explore the new home.
