oscarfishlover really knows his stuff, so before you make all the mistakes that i did read everything on this site. Fish stores just dont give you the information you need and are mostly in it for the cash. i.e. selling me 6 osacrs at 2 inchs with a 50 litre tank. These fish need a LARGE tank and good filtration as i now know thanks to penn. The fish store did advise me to buy a bigger tank when i lost 2 oscars and sold me a 100 litre tank to house the 4 remaining oscars, they just dont care about the fish once they leave their store. Think carefully before buying oscars and make sure you have a big enough tank and good filtration please, It is very upsetting when you have to watch your fish suffer and die in cramped dirty conditions.
