He/she is just moving thing around.it common.If you have plans in the tank he will likely uproot them also..

i agree with melcamino .............they are just movig the furniture they all do it they will move large rocks as well

my term for that is bulldozing the substrate!
and it is nice to watch them doing that.

my old o's used to try to eat gravel sometimes, and every once in awhile id see a pebble in its poo. oscars move around just about everything. but if they are swallowing it that could be a problem, although i never thought of it that when when it was happening with mine cuz i didnt have any problems

my current oscar does the same thing, but im pretty sure he spits it out.

Fish/Oscars know the difference between what is food and what isn't. They won't even eat bad food. A few years ago, my Oscar tried to eat a mouldy cockle and you should have seen him spit it out in disgust.

My O does that sometimes, either sees some food, or sometimes she takes a mouthful of gravel, swishes it in her mouth and then spits it back out...but she's just weird like that!! haha
