How fast do oscar's really grow. Does it depend on how much you feed them? Does it depend on the tank size. Thanx,

Nik

all of the above, plus water parameters.
i come across to an article that fishes grows as much as
35% of the food consumed. if you feed your oscar 1 kilograms
of foods in a month, it will grow by as much as 350 grams in
weight.

in length, oscars normally grows at an average of 1 inch per month at
juvenile provided all parameters are good such as water, tank size, and
foods. however, genetic factor should also be considered. some specie
sometimes does not grows as much like others.

I totally agree with paul, but what i noticed with mine was...
i have 2 oscars about 4-5 inches now.
when i first got them at maybe 2 inches they were in a temp 55 gallon, i recently moved them to a 136 gallon and within 2 weeks i have noticed them grow alot.
it seems that stunt their growth until their in a big enough tank to grow.
but alot of food means big oscars
2 Tiger Oscars, 1 Lutino Oscar, 1 Jack Dempsey, 3 Clown Loaches, 1 Blue Phantom Pleco.

Oscars grow very rapidly, as much as 3 cm per month if well fed, sometimes more. They tend to slow down at 18-20 cm, but will eventually reach 30 cm.
Oscars grow pretty fast, a juvenile Oscar will grow 1 inch a month in the first six months and then it will slow down. Roughly, an Oscar should reach around 7 to 8 in. within the year, after that, their growth rate slows right down. You won't notice a rapid increase in their length; however, you will notice that they bulk up considerably. A two or three-year-old fish could range from nine to 12 inches.

provided appropriate care an oscar will be fully grown within the first year.

they may grow a couple inches within the following years, but will do so slowly.

this is from my personal experience in raising oscars.
