hello everyone.four years ago i bought an oscar not realising that they got so large, nobody told me at the shop.i have a tank that just aint big enough but due to losing my job a while back, i cant afford a new tank . can anyone help. thanks

Sorry to hear about your job i'm in the same boat there.Have you tried your local fish retailer to see if they can take him?

Thats nice of them the only things i can suggest are ask around and there is also a rescue/adopt section on the forum maybe someone will be willing to take him off your hands

Unfortunately this is a very good example of people opening fish stores when they know nothing about the fish they are selling, nor do they seem to care about what happens to them after they leave their premises.

Are there not to any other fish stores in your area that may be able to take the oscar? Failing that, you'll just have to hope that someone can take it off you. In the meantime, carry out extra maintenance (water changes) so that the fish is not exposed to pour water conditions. People are less likely to want the fish it is ill or diseased.

it aint in distress,tank cleaned regularly,just like to give it a better home

yeah i know...it is just the term.... what i mean
is that it is looking for a better home. usually
lfs should be able to assist you in finding adopting
people. they should have that sense of concern
