Probably be okay actually, as long as you feed only the white meat that doesn't contain much fat. Having said that, I would do it very sparingly and only on occasions. If you want to give your fish meat, you are better off giving them beef heart, cockles, mussels, shrimps/prawns, things like that.

I think it's probably best to steer clear of human grade food and stick to what is sold in the fish shops. These products have been developed especially for fish. Because Oscars can suffer from hole in the head disease, you do have to be a little careful what sort of food they eat. Feeding them on a poor diet can contribute to this horrible disease. It is worth spending a little more money on a really good quality pellet and giving them other foods occasionally, things like shrimp or prawns.

i give my 2 red oscars prawns and they love them to bits they go daft when i put them into the tank and the red tail catfish in with them loves them too.
