my o's are really slowing down with there eating.
they barley even eat! couple of pellets a day is all they eat.
ive bought some different types but there not really into them i bought hikari gold pellets and not much has changed.
should i leave them for a day or two and let them get really hungry?
all water lvls are on the dot.

it depend on the size of your oscar. dried pellets
do expand inside the stomach of the fishes. may be
they just got enough for them for the day.

i have a booster pellets with a size of 3mm diameter.
one pellet is good for a day food of my fan tail gold fish.

yeah i know what u mean but i dont think thats it because they still seem hungry,
its almost as if there not sure if its food or not they swallow it give it a chew then spit it out then swallow it again and do several times then just spit it out.
its starting to annoy me they seem very fussy and i dont want to give in and give them feeders but i dont want to stave them either.
they use to eat like horse'.

thanks,

pls check the water.... if found okey... then don't feed
them in two days.... when hungry, they will grab anything
that drops in the tank.

i said check the water because not eating when they used to
means trouble too. so better safe than sorry.

How big is your town? It's strange that I found that the two Oscars in my 125 gallon tank don't eat anywhere near as much as the Oscars on my 300 gallon tank. They certainly don't move around as much. Whether this has anything to do with it I know not. I would definitely cease feeding for at two or three days and see how much they eat after a period of non-eating. You could also try feeding other foods such as shrimp or krill and see how they get on. Oscars have been known to get bored with certain types of food, this could be the case with yours. Don't hold me to that, but it's just another theory.

i left them for 2 days and they ate today still a bit unsure of there new food but ate it. then i put a pellet or two of the old food and that was eatin quite quick.
i would like to try and get them off their old food a bit but i guess this will just take time.
thanks for all the help,
and once their new tank is ready for them like ofl said im sure they will change a bit.
