Hi Guy's you know i have the 8 baby oscars in my 125gl for about 3 weeks now well here is a BIG problem i think some of them may have a genettic problem or a deformaty.... out of the 8 of the my normal tiger like a week ago i noticed its intestin coming out so i netted him out and pushed it back inside him and he was fine for a week now i went to feed them this morning and seen that the other normal tiger had his intestin hanging out so i took him out and pushed it inside him and was watching them in the tank and seen my other tigers intestin started coming out....what's wrong only on the normal tigers this is happening could it be a birth defect? don't the end og the intestin supposed to be connected to there body so it can't come out? ... it is not connected and it actually looks like if you pushed a drinking strawthrough your palm of your hand as if you where w..raping your hand around it...... Is this a problem with oscars....i had lots of types of fish but never seen this ever?

THANKS

Have you tested the water?

can you give us details of their foods. i believe they
are just pooh of the fishes. sometimes pooh of the oscars
looks like worm or intestine hanging at the anus of the fishes.

nevertheless, a picture would help us evaluate your concern. can
you post water parameters pls? ammonia? nitrite? nitrate? pH?

Hi It's not poo as i took the fish out and manually pushed there anus intestins back inside there body...My water is all good no problems at all.....I wonder if it's a defect like from always inbreeding the oscar fish? It's funny only the 2 normal red tigers had this happen?

without seeing it its going to be hard to say, a pic would help, what makes you think its intestine not swim bladder or poo. It could be a defect with the fish if you got them from same dealer or it may be diet related. Whats the diet.

HI it's like a prolapst intestin I actuually pushed it back inside the fishes anal hole.... It's almost like a defect because it looks like there tube where there poo comes out just comes out there body...another words it looks like for a example say out of the oscar's anal it looks like as if a air line hose comes out that's how it looks and to me it looks as if the part that comes out should be attached to the fishes area on it's part where the poo comes out but it is not and slides through and out like i said like a air line hose coming out.... Now i did not feed them since in the morning and i don't think i am going to feed them until the next day..... I am afraid it will happen again... this hapened to the one red tiger 2 times already and the other red tiger only one time...but all the others are fine...

I feed them Dainichi Cichlid Food and some times omega one both pelleted foods.

THANKS
