Hi guys i have i question i went to a pet store and picked up two more fish for my 120 gallon tank. i wanted a bottom feeder to get anything my oscar didnt and a suckerfish. One is a Chinese sucker fish and the other is a Clown Loach. The oscar at fist chaced them for like 5 min. i thought the Chinese sucker was gonna be a gonner but i was wrong i woke up this morning and the sucker is doing its thing and the clown loach and oscar where under thee rock together like there buds or something they swim and eaten together is this common for a Oscar to act im kinda happy they are acting this way. the oscar is only about 3.5-4 inches long

sounds normal to me.
if by chinese sucker fish you mean a chinese algea eater, i have one in 180 with my oscars and they do make nice additions to help with the left over food. they can grow to about 10 inches in length and are no that aggressive.
clown loaches, on the other hand, i have no experience with, however i do know that they are a schooling fish and are best kept in groups of 5-6 or more.

Necro is correct regarding Clown Loach. They prefer to be in groups.
I have got four, two fairly big ones around 7 inches, and a couple that are may be 4 inches. I've never seen one myself but clown Loach can reach 12 inches in length. However unlike Oscars they take many many years to reach this size. These fish probably don't grow more than 1 inch a year and like Oscars, slow down the older they get. It is thought that clown Loach can live for a very long time. 30 years I think is quite possible. I've even heard it mentioned that they could live for 50, or even 80 years, I don't see why not, Mahaseer can live for well over 100 years. Whether anyone has ever witnessed this I know not but the fact that their growth rate is so slow does indicate that they are a long living fish.
Even so they do need large aquariums because you have to cater for the probability that they might get quite big. I think that you should definitely get at least one other clown Loach. Don't get too enthusiastic and get too many because you will just have water quality problems.

ok thanks ill do that. it is weard though the clown and the oscar are like buds they dont leave each others side when i did put him in though he kept wanting to go into one of the caves the oscar favors and he didnt like that to much but know its not a big deal they been hanging out in there most of the day i checked on them to make for sure the oscar wasnt doing nothing but he wasnt. when i feed they kept together the whole time. What fish should i add besides another clown to my tank? its 120 gallon i just didnt want to over populate because the size of the fish will get.

I personally would add another as they are schooling fish as necromancer pointed out. they are not very messy and clean more mess from the oscars than they make. I have only ever seen them in groups and I myself had 2 together for around 4yrs until recently adding a few more. they are great fish but do get stressed if alone. A beautiful slow growing fish that makes a perfect mate for oscars.

There are various other fish you could choose. I wonder if anything too big so, you want to try and avoid overstocking your tank even though it doesn't look like it at the moment.
Three silver dollars would give a nice bit of movement. These sort of fish don't add too much to the biological load but at the same time are a really nice addition to any tank. Maybe even a severum, they are quite nice as well.
Just remember if you start adding too many more fish, there won't be any room for an Oscar if you decide you want one in a year or so. You only have to go on YouTube to see how many people pack too many fish into their tank.
