You might want to make sure that your Oscar doesn't have any skin parasites. Fish sometimes jump to dislodge skin parasites so just have good look if you can.
It would also be a good idea to check your water conditions as toxins can make fish behave strangely.
Having said all of this it could be that you have absolutely nothing to worry about. Although my Oscars don't do it on a regular basis, it certainly isn't uncommon for Oscars to jump and hit the lid. I can't remember whether the videos is on this website, it's definitely on you Tube but I did film my Oscars a year or so ago following a fly that got him between the lid and the condensation cover. Oscars of the excellent eyesight and that is how they catch their food. So if they see something that is a potential meal just above the surface of the water, they're going to jump for it. People who keep arrowana will tell you exactly the same thing, these guys can leap and meat out of the water and grab insects off branches.
