Unless you've got lots of room in your house, there is no way on God's earth you will be ale to house a tank approaching 600 gallons. In fact, I think it would be too much work for anyone who is just doing it for a hobby. It would also cost you an absolute fortune, not only to construct a tank of this size, but also to heat it, light it, and have suitable pumps running 24/7. Water changes would probably take two or three hours as well. And then you've got to feed the fish, I would imagine that the food bill would be quite a lot at the end of the year. I sometimes wonder if I took on too much with my 300 gallon tank, and that's only half the size of the one you would need.

I agree with ofl, I have considered large tanks myself. unless you have a very large bank account I wouldn't bother. everyone of us on the site wants to own more fish,larger tank etc but I took ofl's comments on board a few months back. its sound advice.

thanx 4 the advice imma follow it il just have to get may b a 125 or 150 gallon tank for know im gonna get 2 oscars 2 jacks and 1 arowana

i dont think a 150 is large enough to house an aro for life. add 2 jacks and 2 oscars and your looking at a tank at least 240 gallons. in a 125-150 you would be fine with the 2 jacks and an oscar. aro easily grow to 24 inches in length do it would stand to reason you should have a tank at least 24 inches wide. this puts you at the 180 gallon size or bigger.
