Hi,
I fed my 2 Oscars [size approx 5" each] this morning, I fed them a med-lrg prawn [in pieces], by the time they finished, the fish that got the last piece was clearly full, not swallowing it, but unwilling to spit it out either.
Its now late afternoon and they are begging again, after reading that they will eat more than they should, can someone tell me if I should feed them again, or cut them off for the day?
If someone could tell me how much to feed a fish this size each day, I would greatly appreciate it.
They are currently getting Prawn,krill & bloodworms.

You should only feed them bout as much as they can eat in a minute or two. Or if they stomachs start to bulge you should cease feeding. They do tend to over eat if given the oppurtunity.

they were that hungry this morning that they both ate out of my hand, and the tiger actually jumped about an inch or 2 in the air to grab a piece I held there for him.

They are still fairly young so i would think it is ok to feed them two or three times a day.

at 5 inches i would start to consider reducing the feeding to twice a day soon. also when they get to about the 8 inch mark you can reduce the feeding again to 1 per day.

i will only add that whenever you feed them,
come back after five minutes and removed any
unconsumed foods to lessen the bio-loads.
