I did catch the electric yellow nipping at the tail on my tiger oscar. The end of his tail is a little corrugated, not the normal curve of an oscar tail. There are bits missing from his tail, his front underside fin and a little from his dorsal. If it is fin rot I just want to catch it. If I have a nipper, well may have to move him.

i understand that fin rot is a fungi infection and before
it could affect an oscar, it will develop fungus in the
body or HITH first before the fins..... however, there is
a theory that fin nipper usually attacked sick fish or fish
that has weak body.

so fin rot is more a secondary infection. so it is more likely it will have to have something else first. thanks for that. I think i may be pointing the finger more the the yellow but will keep a close eye on him.
