Hey guys I haven't posted in a while but wanted to post an update on my tanks and wanted to thank Rocksor and Suprd71 for all the help they have given me. When I got back into the hobby I was clueless both of you (among others) really helped me along and I don't think my fish would be as healthy or as good looking if not for your advise.

My Argentea shares his tank with tiger barbs and a gold nugget pleco. He won't tolerate any cichlid tankmates

A little planted 30 gal that I had to use to hold dory (yellow acara) She needed to be removed from the comm tank. Just relentless with the juvie pearsei. My son loves the pearsei so we had to make a tough choice. After rehoming dory I thought it was only right that my daughter have her own tank. Paradise fish with some white/gold cloud minnows. Plants are java fern, java moss, flame moss, and Brazilian pennywort

The community tank has gone through come change. Its my sons tank so he picked the stock. Pearsei, Heterospilus, L600 pleco, L200 pleco, spotted raph cat and 4 rainbows. Was 7 but dory killed 3 in the 30 gal. The heterospilus is super slow growing but a great fish not picky and doesn't bother anyone. The pearsei is literally a garbage can with fins, eats like a beast and super fast growing I've never had a fish grow this fast.
The L600 really is a nasty S.O.B goes after the pearsei and spotted raph all the time. Thank god he leaves the L200 alone for the most part.

This was the pearsei a little over two months ago.

As usual im posting in the wrong areas no Oscar but have a mix of ca/sa so...... :)

Outstanding fish Frank. Love the Arg. Just may have to jump into the Vieja pool myself. Big Syn for sale not too far from me. Very cool plecs too. Hulk is really packin it on.. careful not to overfeed, lol. Too bad about Dory, I would have taken that fish instantly.

Thanks guys. Draco its a pearsei. Thats a pretty cool fish but maybe a type.of con/cryptoheros ? I havent seen pearsei with red in the belly but who knows maybe different strains.. how.long have you had it and how big is he. If its a peasei they grow big and fast

Thought you didnt know what it was ?

Pearsei arent aggressive at all would be the main difference. The cichlid room companion actaully said something about pearsei and bocourti being reclassified into the vieja/paranentroplus fam

oh sorry, perhaps i didn't make it clear, yes, i know the parents but this one didn't resemble
to any of the parents.. it looks like a hornet but no, it is not a hornet... when i saw your fish,
then i thought it can be same with your fish... that is what i mean...... it will keep it till fully mature
and will try to mix with other cichlid to create flowerhorn...

about the redness at the belly, perhaps it is due to it shrimps diet...
picture was taken during the week of shrimps diet
