for a week because I'm going on a vacation

Will he be okay? His tank is in the basement and I'm probably gonna leave all the lights off

Should I overfeed him a bit the night before I leave? He's only 3 inches

Just a regular feeding the day before, and make sure you do a large water change (over 50%) as well. When you come back, feed and follow up with another 50%+ water change.

What size is the tank?

Welcome to the community. The only thing that would bother me is if something goes wrong, like with the filtration system or heater. Is there any way you can get somebody to drop in and check?

I may not always be right, but I am always the BOSS :-)

and nope i cant get anyone to look after him the week im gone
filter/heater malfunction; The filter will be fine but the heater however.. im just gonna cross my fingers something bad wont happen

The heater NEEDS to be on however because his tank, once again, is in the basement and it gets kinda chilly down there
