Vinny created the topic: Crazy

So about a week ago my wife tells me psycho isn't eating just staying around the bottom. I test the water and all the parameters are where they need to be. No hith no other issues appearance wise just acting different. Sevs earing normal. Yesterday psycho went belly up. Now it looks like one of my Sevs is acting different. I'll keep a close eye on that one. Only difference is that my son apparently switched my timer and now my lites are on and off drastically earlier. I doubt a change in light pattern would cause a issue but maybe? I'm going to do a big water change later and monitor the next week close.

I had purchased a baby bristlenose a few weeks ago. Is it possible that he ate the baby and didn't digest it right? His stomach wasn't round and nothing hanging out if mouth. It's hard to call with no visual change in appearance and water testing out good.

what kind of test kit are you using? because two fish showing same symptoms spell something...

Liquid.. He isn't acting the same but different than usual. He ate once and is swimming around. BUT never used to run from me. Does have a small cut on one side back towards the tail. The smaller sev is completely normal. And since psycho is gone my featherfin is more active. My O did not eat the baby bristlenose I seen him while doing my water change

Did you quarantine the pleco first before adding it to the tank a few weeks ago?

Go do a water change - the solution to pollution is dilution.

Ah the 1 important thing I've honestly never done. It is possible that this time it bit me in the ass.

I would say that although Psychos death could have been. From the Pleco not being quarantined. But I don't see the same behavior from all fish. The fish that was skidish is back to normal jumping around eating and swimming not running. Does have a small cut on side but looking pretty normal to me.
