ouch... sorry to know that...
getting another oscar without knowing why you lost what you have is not good... it may lead to losing the remaining oscar and the new one...

can you brief us what tank size and filtration capacity do you have.... pop-eye is always related to water quality... so i am not agreeing to get a new tank mate at this point in time.... have you c heck your water parameters when you lost it? ammonia=? nitrite=? nitrate=? pH=? temp=?

I know what happened he got his eye caught on a little glass thermometer and it scratched his eye causing the eye pop out I didn't realize what broke the glass tell the eye pop started and treated it and it was getting better tell one day....... so you think getting a baby Oscar would be fine or do you think I should get one a little bigger

Oh sorry I have 155 gal. Do you know anywhere I could get an Oscar that grown? Or just search sites like craigslist? She's about 4.5-5 inches long

Sorry you lost an Oscar. Something is amiss here. You have a good sized tank to keep an Oscar pair, but at a year and a half old and only 5ish inches long, there is a problem. The fish should be at least double that size, and could with all things being right, push 14ins. Any thoughts on why your fish is so small?

The one I lost was quite a but bigger but I did have then in a 40 gal when they were younger other then that I'm not sure I'm new to Oscars would that have effected them that much? Also the one that's 5 inches is an albino I don't know if that matters either

fish not growing as we are expecting it can have several factors...
improper keeping or improper feeding... small tank is one
and bad water is another...

i have several oscars in my community tank, the latest addition is now catching up
with the size of the adult... averaging 12" long...

unless you are sure about your tank water parameters, i am still suspecting the
bulging eyes is caused by bad water condition... same with the not growing...

Test strips are not accurate. API liquid kit is most trusted. What do you do for regular water changes?
