My red oscar (Squirt) wont leave his new tank mates side (albino oscar (Confucius)). Squirt was depressed before i got Confucius, now he wont leave his side. It dpubt its too big of a deal but the furthest hes been apart his 2 inches in 4 days.

Ps. Confucius is abput 3 inches and Squirt is 1 1/2 to 2 inches

Welcome to our little community.

Okay, I'll be honest with you, I haven't really got an answer for you. However, I can't really see that much is wrong. It just sounds as if they are staying together for safety. You'll probably find that as they get bigger and get used to their environment they aren't so nervous.

But I really don't think there's anything to worry about

I may not always be right, but I am always the BOSS :-)

Welcome to OFL. Its very common for baby fish to hang together. Its safety in numbers, survival instincts. As long as your tank is big enough, water is kept clean you are good. Just be aware however, that once comfortable and settled in, fighting will most likely occur. If not fighting at least some bullying with one trying to be the alpha.

I may not be the Boss, but I'm ALWAYS right!
