Hey guys,
I will be moving my oscar back home this coming weekend. (I am currently away at school and have him at my apartment) My trip is going to take about an hour. What i plan on doing is placing him in a styrofoam cooler with current tank water and a bubbler to keep it oxygenated. I have a cycled tank waiting on him when i get to my house. Does anyone have any other tips or suggestions for me to help this go as smoothly as possible?
Thanks,
David

if you can put a heater in with him(not sure on how your powering the bubbler) other than that make sure the water he is going into is the same temp as the water he is in.

good luck with the move
Warning..I will offend you at some point!!!

sounds like you've got it pretty much covered, one hour isn't very long so he should be perfectly okay, good luck.

X2.....

one hour is almost as if you just pick up your fish in the lfs.
in my previous job as delivery boy of live fish, we usually
put plastic bag inside the cooler or styrobox, filled with
tank water, put the fish, and inflate with oxygen, tied the end
and move. 2 to 3 hours..... 200 to 300 km travel,....all fish
are fine.... same with live prawns and lobster.

just an additional ideas.....

Well i got him moved and all is well. My cool leaked so i had to put him in a bag that i caught air in. I still put him in the box to keep the heat up. He seems to like his new home.
