How big will a single oscar grow in a 55gall tank?
Will it reach its full growth or will it stop at a certain point?

An does anyone know were I can get a 75gall for cheap! Or low price?
An how many oscars can I keep in a 75gall?

Water quality is the ONLY thing that determines growth.
If the water is not kept clean (it can be hard to do in a small tank) than the fish will stunt and not grow full size... this very unhealthy for the fish and it will likely live a shortened life...

You probably only want to keep one oscar in a 75 unless your an expert oscar keeper and are prepared for the massive bio-load and ready to transport one of them if they turn out to be aggressive that you would likely encounter with two...

the only thing i would add to art's post is food. a healthy varied diet is also a contruting factor in oscar growth.
Warning..I will offend you at some point!!!

my goal is simple a complete understanding of the universe, why it is as it is and why it exists at all

Try craigslist for a cheap used tank. I found both of mine on there. I paid 100 dollars for my 55, and 150 dollars for my 125 with the stand and lights. I see them on there all the time.
People call me Donnie. I've got one Tiger O in a 55USG.
