I recently was in a foreclosed home where the people left their Oscar
fish behind. In a couple days a wrecking crew is coming in (Bank hired)
to gut/rennovate the home and they will discard this beautiful big fish like a piece of garbage. I can't bear to see this happen. None of local fish stores want this fish. I also contacted a rish rescue group and they can't help. Any ideas?

Where are you? Take him home. I assume he is in a tank. Take the entire set up. If I am close enough I will take him.

Tampa area here. I would hate to see anything happen to him too.

You've gotta save that fish, no two ways about it. If you don't want to keep it put it in craigslist and make money for the setup. Go get it !!

Thank you all. We live in Mission Viejo, California. Oscar fish is in an unmoveable built-in tank. I can not take fish home--husband is very, very sick and I am his caregiver (barely getting through that). I know nothing about fish and don't have time to learn. I just a person trying to save a fish. Abandoned fish is just up the street but I cannot get into home without pre-foreclosure realtor. I will ask her if Bank will let me put on Craigslist. I saw the demolition team there yesterday and don't now if they have started inside. I will ask realtor if they will let me put on Craigslist. Cross your fingers and pray please.

My thoughts are with him!!!
