He has finally eaten after all this time fortunately I have been adding vitachem on a weekly basis.
2 days ago he only attacked the food and spit out and today after his water change he started swimming around looking at the top of the tank.
I think all of us know that technique, he ate about 10 very small pellets and one frozen mysis shrimp.

how long did he not eat? what did you do to make him eat? I have 100 questions, I have a GT that won't eat anything but worms and it's hard to get one to him past all the other fish.

About 3 weeks but he was really sick and was just laying low all this time, I don't know what to tell you about yours but I'm sure someone here will know.

we've already beat the subject to death , I'll just feed him worms every other day and try to keep him alive for as long as I can. He's a real beauty but hasn't grown in the 2 months I've had him.

Hey have you tried putting him alone in his own tank? Maybe he doesn't like the other fish

yes, he's been in the hospital tank twice to be treated for parasites. It seems to have worked but he still won't eat anything but worms. I even tried not giving them to him hoping he'd get hungry enough to eat flakes or pellets but he just goes and hides when I feed the others. Maybe one day he will surprise me.

I didn't do anything to get him to eat he just gave me that look, so I dropped in a few pellets and away he went.
You know that look, when they look at you and then at the top of the tank, Like well what are you waiting for?
