Anybody use this as a staple. Im thing of buying some flukers and keeping a stock of my own.

are flukers different to normal crickets?

dont think so... but I give mine some crickets everyonce in a while...

i used to feed mine crickets every day, as well as oscar bites... but i found that i had to many undigested parts floating in the tank and blocking the filter..
they love em though

all my oscars love crickets as a treat. i feed them to mine maybe once a week or so.
as for using crickets as a staple i beleive that they lack a lot of vitamins and nutritional value that an oscars needs to grow healthy. that is why a quality pellet is always recommended as a staple. to ensure that your oscar is receiving the proper balance of nutition that he needs to be healthy and happy.

in the wilds, oscars thrive on those creeping insects but
they have varied specie every dya plus vast area of water,
thus keeping them healthy. in a tank, limited space needs
required food supplement to make them healthy. and there is
where those formulated and fortified food are needed to give
them balanced diet.
