Well my favourite articles have always been the ones where they show peoples set ups. I used to run a wedding car business form home and whenever people came round to book their cars they used to find the set up fascinating even if they weren't fish lovers. so i thought i would send them in a clip as i had been making a video about Oscars and then about six weeks later out of the blue Karen Young phoned me.

You remind me of a young George Michael

Nice setup, certainly took some doing and I expect. Actually, I must pick up a tropical fish magazine when I'm out next, have never bought one before, be interesting if they do any articles on Oscars.

Id have George's money but he can keep his lifestyle and everything that goes with im quite happy with my lot. The wall took a few days to build, at the time i was renting a room to an Aussie bricklayer who was a friend of a friend. The plot for the wall was hatched over a few tins of lager as is normal for Aussies. The next day i smashed down my feature fireplace and ken the Aussie was shocked when he got home form work he had to sit down and have another tin, he thought i was joking the night before. Anyway the wall took 900 bricks not 700 as they said in the article and they were really expensive white smooth faced bricks and i coloured the cement black. The cement was racked out from the brickwork about 10mm it looked better brickwork than you get on a house. I designed and built all of the filters myself and stripped the tanks down to have them drilled and then put them back together again. It did look impressive when it was finished even if i do say so myself. It was 13 feet long 2 feet from front to back and 8 feet tall. And then i had a fish room at the back of the house where i grew on all the O's that were spawned

Looks really good. I'm afraid it's beyond what I will do here. My 300 gallon will be the biggest I go.

Dinger, may I be very "forward" and ask a plan of the pump/cycling system that you built there? Apart from the 17 tanks (different sizes) that I have now, I am probably soon going to have another 12 x 1.2m tanks - stacked on 3 3-level stands and that system looks like the thing to build/install there. I will understand if you say no, I'm just desperate not to have so many hang-ons, etc - that kind of spoils everything and creates tons of work
