You might need advice of some-on who knows more about these little white worms than me, i would talk to my LFS and see what they recommend, maybe you need to treat your water to kill them.
other pets are my colt (Freddo Frog), my staffy (Tank) and my boxer x,(Steph)

planeria or blood worms. reduced excess food and they will die.
add little dose of pure salt, they will die. let your filter
suck them, they will become small mosquitoes, and die. during
cleaning, they cling to your arm and eventually die if no more
water. they will never penetrate your skin.

1. Clean Your Aquarium. In particular you should clean your gravel with a Gravel Washer.

2. Add Aquarium Salt to your aquarium up to a maximum of 1 Tablespoon for each 5 gallons of water in your aquarium. If you have any type of soft skinned or soft scaled fish(especially catfish) then use 1/2 Tablespoon for each 5 gallons.

3. Don't panic. just do a gentle gravel clean until 25% of your water is gone.
Then refill with tap water. Repeat this step daily cause it may take a few days to clear.

I hope this helps

several factors:
1) insect that flies around may lay eggs in your tank;
2) food we feed the fishes;
3) water born eggs;
4) substrate we put in;

but the presence of excess foods enhance their multiplication.

have you ever wondered where in this world they came from,
million of them, after several months of your tanks. but
if you have no substrate, worms can be found in the media only.
