welcome to the site.

Unfortunately, if you don't reduce your stock dramatically, you are going to find yourself in heaps of trouble in a few months time when the fish start getting bigger.

Firstly let's talk about tinfoil barbs. They can reach 12 inches and are probably the greediest fish I have ever kept. They are extremely messy and gobble up the food before anyone else gets a chance. Take my advice, lose them once your tank is cycle.

Now the Oscars. 75 gallons is big enough for one Oscar and maybe a couple of smaller tank mates. I ran into water quality problems when I was housing four Oscars in a 125 gallon tank . Again, I think you should seriously think about re-homing three of your Oscars before they get too big and nobody wants them. There is no way that you will be able to keep them permanently and 75 gallon tank and maintaining good water quality.

Probably not what you want to hear but we will be neglecting in our duties if we didn't tell you. Obviously, it's totally up to you if you want to keep them but if you run into problems in the future, there will be little we can do to help you unless you reduce the amount of fish you've got

I would also advise you rather choose two to keep, and sell the other two back to a Petshop or private buyer.

ok I'll sell 2 of them but what about feeding per day and the waist on the bottom I see, I do a water change every week

They will be fine eating every other day or just smaller amounts each day. Floating pellets are easy to remove if they don't eat all of them.
If you can't beat them...arrange to have them beaten!

Or try to upgrade your tank.
Don't know if thats possible, but, boy, those small O's grow fast

the expert had spoken and i totally agree with OFL. okey,
here is your other option..... since you are running a 75 gal
tank, you can have one oscar at the 55 gal tank and probably
small specie tank mate while at the 75 gal, you can have 2 oscar
for one year until you can afford to upgrade to a bigger tank.

feeding? a good practice for juvenile is that feed them every day
quantity of which is good for three minutes grabbing. after 3 minutes
remove all excess food to lessen bio loads.

I have read that you can keep 2 oscars in a 75 gallon if you do 2 to 3 waterchanges a week to keep their water pristine. Is that not true or what? Thanx.

Also you have to have 10x the filtration required for your particular tank size.

yes you can but not for long. eventually, oscar will outgrow your 75 gal tank.

it depends on your filtration type. but 10X turn over of water will give your tank a good water parameter.
