I was wondering if someone could possibly tell me why my tiger albino Oscar is getting darker? Not all of the fish is getting dark, just around all the fins and the stripes on the body are getting darker, looks almost gray in a way. Any answers to this question would be of great help. Thank you.

My guess is your Oscar is simply developing its adult colouration

However, whenever changes take place, it's always a good idea to make sure you test your water and make sure it is in good order
I may not always be right, but I am always the boss
If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved

some lutinos as they age will get dark gray or black on their fins. this is a common occurance that happens to many lutinos. i beleiver the reason behind it is breeding but im not entirely sure on that.
Warning..I will offend you at some point!!!

my goal is simple a complete understanding of the universe, why it is as it is and why it exists at all

normally, oscars do change colors as they grow up and
shows their natural color pattern. however, as OFL had
said, better check the water whenever changes occurs to
make sure it is not due to bad water conditions. better
safe than sorry.
