Hi all, i am new to the forum but would really appreciate some help:)

I have 2 oscars who are in a tank which is four feet by 2 feet by 18 inches.

They developed a bit of cloudy eye for which i gave them 'Waterlife Myxazin'.
After wa week of treatment there was no improvement, in fact it had become worse:(

They now have pop eye to the extent that there's a flappy bubble thing on one of there eyes, they both seem completely blind and they have also developed fin rot.

I have checked the temperature, p.h, nitrite, nitrate and amonia levels and all seems fine:unsure:

They seem to be getting worse and worse and was wandering what, if any, advice any-one might be able to offer.

Many thanks in advance,

WOGGER

welcome to the site

Okay, unfortunately your tank is a little bit too small for a couple of Oscars. All the symptoms you describe are normally caused by poor water quality. What you need to do is test your water again, and then post the results for us. Then we can determine whether or not you have got poor water conditions. Also, if you can post a photo of your fish, that would also help.

Until we know the condition of your water is very difficult for us to continue any further

your tank is 88 US gal (75 UK gal). how big are your O?

fin rot is already an indication of bad water condition
and the presence of fungi. water change is a must. you
can try soaking medication against fin rot using methylene
blue: that is put the fish in hospital tank (import some
water from established tank) add methylene blue and soak the
fish for 2 hours, and release it back to the big tank.

but if you have extra pump, keep it to the hospital tank for a
day or two. add pure salt and increase aeration and temp.
