Well I came back to my dorm room this afternoon and noticed my O acting very strange. He appeared to be interacting with the pleco and as soon as I entered the the room the plec went to hide and my O floated to the bottom of the tank and just layed there. My guess was that the plec kept bothering my oscar as he tried to lay there.

After asking my roomate apparently he decided to feed the oscar a piece of deli turkey while I was out. I think this may have something to do with my oscars behavior. Could he be dieing has a result to this or is this just a "stomach ache" type deal that will pass?

Sounds like the turkey maybe the problem but its possible that the plec may be causing your Oscar problems.Sometimes they can try to feed of the side of an Oscar taking off the protective mucus coating. Put a sign on the tank warning people to leave the fish alone. many people don't know the harm they are doing when they know nothing about fish. When i went on holiday i asked a friend to look after my Oscars, just coming in every three days to check on them. In his infinite wisdom he decided that they needed feeding which i told him not to do. He overfed them and then we had an unexpected power cut which knocked out the pumps and for some reason they didnt come back on. The result was i lost 11 large irreplaceable Oscars and was left with a house that stunk for days after. I was not happy.

I've fed all of my cichlids deli meat when they were younger. Always either turkey or chicken. They are much leaner, cleaner, and cheaper than beefheart. (around here at least) That doesn't mean that you should let just anyone chuck it whatever they want into your aquarium to see if your O will eat it. I'd tell him to lay off. Your plec is bigger than you O right? I think I remember that from another post. It is enirely possible that your pleco is harming your Oscar. i had one that used to attack my Arowana and my Clown Knife. Keep an eye on that. And of course, monitor all you nitrogen levels. There are many reasons why you O could be acting up.
Keeping fish is only as hard as you choose to make it.

Last night I moved him into a gravel less quarantine tank just to make sure the pleco wasn't the problem. It wasn't because he still sulked at the bottom there to. I checked on him this morning and found what looked like 4 little pieces of undigested deli meat. I didn't taste it so I can't be sure But I figured the turkey didn't agree well with him and he spent the night being miserable trying to pass it. He is back to his usually cheerful self now so I moved him back into the main tank. All seems well now except for his color change. Hes almost completely black(very dark) but I figured that just has todo with his stressful night and hopefully he'll be a nice red by this afternoon.

I am going to take your advice about the sign though. Thats a very good idea.
I also may have to give my plec to a LFS around here as I won't be able to return it home anytime soon. They really aren't getting along and I'm going to have to separate the two. I feel bad about having to let the guy go though.
