moved the big guy to a larger aquarium , it was a big ordeal , mostly for him (or her , dont know ) anyway he doesnt want to eat. im guessing its because he is just freaked out . he had to spend some time in a 5gal bucket while i moved his smaller water box then back in aquarium for a couple of days then scoopped out and put in the larger . he looks just as good as ever and moving things as before , just wont eat . if this helps, he is about 3 yrs old (big fish)

I assume that the tank was cycled properly before you put him in? How is his breathing? It could well be that he is just a little stressed and that's why he's not eating. Hopefully he'll get over it and go back to his normal self

I recently had to do a full water change as I moved things around, which meant taking Oshie out, he's only 7inch but still managed to soak me!! For the next three and a half days he sulked in a corner, I finally coaxed him to eat a fly on his stick, ho loves flies!! Yours should be right.

Its hard to fly like an eagle when you are surrounded by turkeys

He has probably just got the hump. Oscars can get a bit moody especially when things are changed. Hunger will soon get the better of him and he will want to eat

thanx for the input , water qual ,0 ammo ,0 nitrites ,5-10 mg/L nitrates ,ph little high 7.4 & falling (little atta time),GH <20 mg/L , KH 50 mg/L , yes cycled . coaxed him to eat some feeder fish in the last few days . he's gone back to trying to move EVERYTHING in the tank (he can move some very heavy things). But anyway , thanx again , I'm pretty sure he'll be OK , like I said , he had a rough time and just seems to be mad at me . not as much at my wife .
