I found my sisters cat peering itno my Oshies tank the other day....from the TOP. The little bugger jumped up there to get a better look. I watched cauciously from the door as not to disturb her, I only wish I had videoed it. My Oshie swam back and forth with one eye always peering up at her. I watched as her swam to the bottom of the tank, stirred up the bottom a bit (it needs a little cleaning) by swishing his fins. As the water stirred up, the cat peered closer trying to see through. I could almost see her trembling with excitement...I almost missed what happened next. In a split second, Oshie made a dash for the surface, jumping out of the water to come as close as he could without hitting the glass, splashing water everywhere. Oh this was SO good. The cat, who was mesmerised by this, was all of a sudden confronted by a big, wet, water flinging fish and boy did she fly. I never saw a cat jump so high until then. She jumped right off the tank, about a meter I swear, hooked the curtain with one claw and bolter smack into my leg as I disolved into fits of laughter. OMG it was the funniest thing I have seen in a long time. I went in to see how Oshie was doing (after I picked myself up off the floor)to see him swimming (VERY proudly) and looking to me for food. I don't think the cat has been game enough to do it again yet, as she eyes the tank very precauciously before entering my room.

It's a shame that you didn't get it on video. I'm thinking about doing members videos on here. We have got a television programme over here called "you've been framed" people send their funny video clips then and if they are screened, they win something like £250. One of the clips I've seen on more than one occasion is of two red Oscars. Anyway, there's a cat sitting on top of the tank with its tail in the water. One of the Oscars grabs hold of the tail, I suppose it was a bit like your situation, the bloody cat jumped a mile, really funny.

Yeah. We've got a program called Funny Home Videos. That would have won a great prize. Damn. I'll have it ready....for next time...

Keep your video at hand. I think I'll get some unsuspecting person to feed my Oscars, they nearly take your fingers off when you feed them, if I get someone who has never done it before just to hold their hand just above the water, that would make a fantastic clip. How cruel am I? Got to be worth £250 though.

Oh yeah, and I have always been meaning to ask about if we can post videos. That'd be great. I think it's a great idea. Can you tell I really like the idea?? hehe

Aaaaaahahahahahaha, I would love to see that. My oscar isn't as snappy now, I think I overfeed him a bit!! But I would love to see that video...hehe, and yes, how cruel we are. Ooh ooh, you could blindfold someone, and tell them you just want them to touch something and guess what it is
