I have had these two for about a year and a 1/2, the past few weeks they have been fighting each other quite often as well as the pleco and the convict( they fight back). When they aren't fighting they are chillin in the trench they dug in the corner. Do I need to separate the two?

first off welcome to the site..

I bet you have a mating pair of oscars.. if they dug a trench down to the glass of the tank and they are being aggresive to the other fish, especially when they come close to the trench, you will be having babies soon...

of course female oscars do not need males present to lay their eggs but I would bet you have a male and a female

also the aggression that they are showing to each other is more than likely them mating. they are very rough with each other.

quick question how big is your tank?

yeah that just rules out that they are fighting because of a small tank..
I think that they are starting to go through the mating process... Let us know how everything keeps progressing.

Oh yeah when you clean the tank or do water changes make sure to leave the trench that they dug.

Good luck
