my two oscars lately have been laying low and not moving much when they do come out it really seems like it is just to fight they are eating fine and all the water perimeters are fine i just don't understand why the will not come out and swim around can anyone help.

and how big is your tank?
other pets are my colt (Freddo Frog), my staffy (Tank) and my boxer x,(Steph)

1)what time is it in your place?
2) how big are they?
3) how big is your tank?
4) kind of filtration?
5) fine water is not a basis. we need to know actual reading!

i thank everyone for the help but i think i figured out what was wrong when i got the tank it came with a kind of blueish light so this morning i changed the light bulb to a regular clear bulb and within 10 minutes the fish were up and about and swimming more than ever i didn't think that light color would make a difference.

well it does, when I changed the lights in the room where my O tank is, they totally freaked out & wouldn't move. it took them a couple of days to get used to it.
