Hi to all. I have got a 65 us gallon tank with a 9 inch oscar and two plecos.I used to have two oscars but i have lost one of them due to hith.I wonder if it is fair for the oscar to leave it alone with two pleacos. What should I do.
A) Leave the oscar alone?
Introduce another one?
C) Give it to someone with a suitable tank?

a second oscar is definetly out of the question for a 65 gallon tank. actually i would recommend rehoming the plecos and only keeping the one oscar. we recommend a minimum of 55 gallons for a single oscar. if your plecos are common plecs or sailfins they will outgrow the tank they are in quite quickly.

sorry if this is not what you want to hear but it is my recommendation.
Warning..I will offend you at some point!!!

X2. I would just keep the oscar and rehome the plecos. Unless you don't want the Oscar. Then find him a good home with someone who knows what they are doing.

Thanks to all for the advice given.Than I guess I have to leave my oscar alone cause i'm not giving it away unless i'm sure it is in good hands.

Have you corrected the problem with HITH? What type of filters do you run?I concure with the group that 1 Oscar in a 65gal is OK. Do you test your water? Just some ideas for you to consider. Good luck with your fish.
