i couldn't help myself and my wife was zero help.... I have ended up with a companion for my oscar bubbles i actually feel like i rescued this fish rather than bought it since it's companions where in horrible conditions..( this was at petsmart needless to say i had words with their management concerning the shape some of there oscars where in :angry: ) i just felt sorry for this little bruiser so he came home with us i will post pics when i am sure bubbles doesn't see him as a snack!! so now i am on the hunt for a 120 gallon or larger tank

I find it really hard not to come home with oscars as well. Especially when i see them mistreated. Im sure he has found a better home with. What is your current tank size and how big are the oscars?

well let me see bubbles is around 10" the new guy is around 3 maybe 4" .... current tank is a 55 gallon but i am sure they can handle that for the weekend till i can find the bigger tank.. just a matter of finding one that isn't sold yet lol

You should check craigslist if you arnt already. They will be fine in there for a little while. Just watch the parameters.

thats where i have been checking lol waiting on a call about a 125 !!! really got my hopes set on this one! think i will check the local collins buy sell and trade while i am at it... and i really hate checking there cause you have to sift through all kinds of garbage!! lol

Congrats Bentbarrel... Now I am not the only one adding to my addiction LOL... Very nice about talking to management. That store is better than the alternatives in my area but sometimes these O's there are just sad...

why thank you nickie i was actually unkind with my words at petsmart i made sure i was loud too i felt let down because usually they have the best lookin stock and tanks in town but this time to see the things i saw made me angry

I think that legislation needs to be changed to include fish in animal cruelty.

Just hang in there and keep looking... You have them in a 55 now right? With what filters? If you are committed to your water changes and checking your water regularly, you can make this work for a few weeks... Just please watch your water.

yeah right now there stuck in that 55 gallon but i have two hob's with a total of 650 gph i would think that would hold em over.... yeah i will have to bump up my water testing to 3 times a week until i get that bigger tank (hopefully within the week) what suprised me the most was how huge bubbles seemed when my wife added the other oscar... she seemed like a monster lol
