I have two tigers (2.5 - 3 inch). They are kept with two angelfish. Those angelfish occasionally attacks my tigers. one of oscars has a ripped fin (caudal fin). Don't know Whether angels attacked or the other Oscar did
Will the fin grow to be normal later or should i do something about it now?

very common and considered minor damage as long as the fin has just ripped(not bleeding or fin rot) it will repair and as your oscars grow them angles better hope they forget or they have problems))))) good water will result in fast repair.

Yes it should be fine... the only time fins don't grow back is when the injury goes through the fin into flesh... actually, the fin could grow back slightly larger than before... in asian they slit arowana tail fins so that they grow back bigger and give the fish a "fan" appearance...

hey KJAK, you need to know why it was ripped. if it was by nipping,
or bullying, then it has to be stopped first so that healing will come.
if it is from strong water current, then you have to temper the flow
direction.

yes, with pristine water and good feeding habits, it will repair itself
in no time. but if it is rotten fin, medication is needed.

Thanks guys
Its not rotten fin for sure. It's just ripped at the edge. And the fish seems to be in good health but he's scared to go out of his hiding place.
Today i gave them blood worms for the first time. They all loved the meal.
Anyway I'm gonna put oscars into my other aquarium for a while. It has only two ID sharks.
Hope my tigers wont harm the IDs.

The smaller one is 11 inch, the other one is 13 inch. tigers are just 2.5-3 inch.
Yeah IDs are very fast but too shy. I believe they are nocturnal fish. They love to be in dark. I feed them 3 times day. They eat quite a lot at night.

my ID shark never take any live foods but grab anything
that drops in the tank. with proper feedings, your IDs will
be huge in no time.

Yeah they are growing very fast when they are given enough space and a healthy meal. They are very elegant fish. But act very dumb when they panic. They swim very fast and bump their noses. I think they have a poor eye sight.
Yeah my IDs hadn't eaten any live food. I had put some feeders for them but i had to remove them by myself
I believe oscars and IDs will be a good combination since oscars spill out a lot of food and IDs love to grab food on the bottom of the tank.

i had an accidental breaking twice.

I have heard that they are a nocturnal specie. Is it true ? Or they love to be in dark just because they live in riverbeds?
Love your video under "another tankmate idea". I haven't seen my IDs from side view since they are in a pond.
