Hi guys,
This is my latest edition, iv'e had him for about a month and although he is already showing typical oscar behaviour like constantly begging at the glass and jumping out of the water to take pellets from my hand [not bad for a 2 incher] I noticed that if I wear red or black t shirts he freaks out, goes to the back of the tank and lies on his side, sometimes even going near white.
As soon as I take the shirt off he comes running back to the glass begging for food again.
Is this sort of thing usuall with baby's?

i would agree with the preditor theory considering the size difference cause if you think about it when you are standing in front of the tank all they see is one red or white thing standing in front of them if i may i would suggest maybe walk slowly up to the tank and stay there a min with no movement and keep the lid down cause us oscar owners know they know when its open and not, so i would try that or maybe set up a stand with the white just a lil showing and leave it there like only a 1 or 2" wide strip so they see it and its ok after they get used to it.

My oscar knows that when the big shape is in front of the tank, he's probably going to get something delicious.

He'll headbutt any other fish near the top of the tank to clear space for him to get the food, only time he gets aggressive!

gorgueous colours, i hope i can get mine to shine like that aswell though i read that colorfull at the start most of the time vanishes during puberty and comes back at adulthood so i'm not to worried
